Designing an effective Vocational Education and Training (VET) system requires a comprehensive approach that ensures alignment with both national and international qualification frameworks such as the Pacific Qualifications Framework (PQF), Education Quality & Assessment Programme (EQAP), and Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).

A well-structured VET system aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry needs—preparing a skilled workforce that meets local and global standards.

1. Qualification and Curriculum Mapping

My approach focuses on mapping qualifications and curricula to recognised frameworks, ensuring consistency, transparency, and comparability of learning outcomes.This includes:

Reviewing existing programs against framework levels and standards.
Defining clear pathways for learners’ progression and recognition of prior learning (RPL).
Aligning competencies and assessment methods with international benchmarks.

2. Integration of Industry and Corporate Standards

To enhance employability and relevance, I integrate industry-specific standards directly into accredited training programs.
This involves:

Collaboration with sector skill councils, professional bodies, and employers.
Embedding occupational standards, emerging technologies, and workplace practices.
Ensuring programs remain responsive to market and technological changes.

3. Policy and Quality Assurance Advisory

I support education and workforce development organisations to build clear, effective, and compliant policy and quality assurance frameworks. I work collaboratively with teams to co-design practical policies, procedures, and monitoring tools that align with national standards, donor expectations, and organisational goals.

My approach balances strategic governance with user-friendly, real-world processes—strengthening consistency, transparency, and accountability across programs. I embed continuous improvement (CI) mechanisms into every system I develop, ensuring organisations can regularly review, refine, and elevate the quality of their training and learning outcomes with confidence.
